Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2025

1. Acceptance of terms

By using Voto (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use Voto. These terms apply to all users of the Service.

2. Description of service

Voto is a habit tracking tool that integrates with Todoist to help users build identity-based habits inspired by the principles in Atomic Habits by James Clear. Voto is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Todoist or James Clear.

3. Account and access

  • You must have a valid Todoist account to use Voto.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Voto.
  • You may not use Voto for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.

4. Free and Pro plans

Free plan: Allows tracking of up to 3 habits at no cost.

Voto Pro: Allows unlimited habits for $2 USD per month, billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain Pro access until then.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

5. Refunds

Due to the low price and the nature of the service, we do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you have an issue with a charge, please contact us at hello@usevoto.com.au and we will do our best to resolve it.

6. Your data

You own your data. We do not sell it or use it for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.

7. Todoist integration

Voto connects to your Todoist account via the official Todoist API. You grant Voto permission to read your tasks and receive completion webhooks. You can revoke this access at any time from your Todoist settings. Voto is not responsible for any changes Todoist makes to its API or service that affect Voto's functionality.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
  • Use the Service to store or transmit illegal content
  • Abuse the API or create excessive server load
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service

9. Service availability

We aim to keep Voto available at all times but do not guarantee uptime. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any data loss or interruptions to the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@usevoto.com.au.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Voto and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Australia.

13. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Voto after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Contact
